Mercurio

Mercurio sits on the ground floor, level with the garden, which makes it the easiest room to come and go from. Step through the glass door and the private pool is right there on your terrace, with the sea straight ahead and nothing in the way of it.

The pool faces west, so the late afternoon belongs to this room. The water turns from turquoise to gold as the sun drops, and after dark the underwater lights come on and the coast spreads out below in points of light.

Inside, the walls are cool to the touch, the curtains are linen, and the bed is wide and low. The kitchenette has what you need for breakfast and a late drink. Mornings are bright but not harsh — the sun comes up behind the building and reaches the terrace later in the day.

It is the most private of the pool rooms and the simplest to live in. If you want to spend most of your stay in and around your own water with the sea in front of you, this is the one.
